I had a job that didn't pay well, worked under people that were idiots and didn't know how to manage others. One day I got a job interview for a great company but could not get the day off. so on that day I went to work like normal but left without saying anything during my first break and went to the interview. After that I came back clocked out for lunch and carried on like nothing happened. Nobody noticed I was gone for half the day. Worked for a few hours, getting paid while having a job interview, best day ever.

That somewhat is what happened to me: I had a nice job. I received an offer from another company: more money and a role more aligned to what I want for my career. Quit the nice job to go to the other company, even though they basically begged me to stay. Got to the other company, it wasn't what I was promised and started to feel miserable fairly soon. Quitted the second job. Currently unemployed.

True story: Got a job offer (same position, different company) offering +€200 wage. Went on interview on lunch brake. Got the job. On the next day I told my boss I'm quitting. She asked why. Told her frankly because of higher wage. She asked how much. I said +€300. She said I'll give you +€400. I stayed. (You see what I did there?) And I'm happy I've stayed. They are like second family to me. Turned out they all felt the same for me.

This happened to me recently. I quit my job at the slightest sign. I stayed jobless for just 2 days, a Saturday and a Sunday and began working somewhere else on Monday. After 3 months in that new job, which was already better paid, I got another call for another job. I resigned again and moved from one place to the other with no days off in the middle. I was quite lucky.

I'm in ur situation right now, only difference is that they've asked me to wait, and I've been waiting from September and probably will get the confirmation by next Monday .
